Tiki’s Grill and Bar ~ Kapono Wong

When: 3pm – 5pm. Get to know Kapono Wong, Ukulele prodigy from Honolulu, Hawai’i. This 2020 high school graduate has been playing the ukulele since the age of 5. Since then, Kapono challenges himself to master this instrument and has since gone on to win multiple ukulele competitions. He has had the privilege to perform with several well-known musicians, including mentor Jake Shimabukuro, Henry Kapono and more. Kapono enjoys playing all genres of music, giving each song his unique touch. More recently, Kapono’s dedication has him honing his craft by attending a summer intensive program at Berklee College of Music in Boston and composing original materials in 2019. Presently, he’s attending community college in hopes of going to a music college on the mainland.
